The heart and soul of Wisteria Landscapers is the talented group of individuals that make up our team. Each person possesses extensive knowledge in the areas of design, maintenance, arboriculture, and horticulture techniques. Their years of experience and dedication to high quality customer service will ensure your final product will be an outdoor living space you can enjoy for many years.

David Hansen Black
As Wisteria’s proprietor, Dave brings more than 25 years of experience to every project. He has worked in the areas
of design, building, maintenance and arboriculture from the fine details of small projects to comprehensive
million-dollar landscaping jobs.
Dave continues to work in every facet of the landscaping business, providing clients with exceptional service and
personal attention. He has Bachelor of Science degrees in both ornamental horticulture and economics.
John Yori
John brings a wealth of practical experience from his 25 years of work in the industry to each client. John
has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland and previously ran his own company
in Baltimore. John's extraordinarily attentive communication starts with prompt quotes and plans, and continues
with no surprises. John's clients know what to expect each day. John prides himself in being there for his
clients whenever they might have a question, even long after the job has been done.
Angel Amaya
Angel has nine plus years working in the landscaping industry. Seven of those nine have been as Wisteria's
crew leader. His experience and ability to coordinate, construct, repair and maintain the various projects
are keys to our success. His knowledge of current horticultural practices and techniques, materials, and equipment
used in landscape maintenance make him a great asset to our team and our clients.

Wisteria Landscapers employs a highly qualified crew of dedicated individuals who work hand in hand with the project
manager to ensure each completed project exceeds our client’s expectations.

Soles 4 Souls
Wisteria Landscapers and The Boston House Condominiums joins together each year to sponsor Soles 4 Souls. The public is invited to donate gently-worn or new shoes for families and children who are unable to afford these most-basic necessities. Shoes are provided to the poorest of the poor, most of whom are children who may have never owned a pair of shoes. The event has traditionally been a huge success, securing over 300 pairs of shoes each year.
Soles 4 Souls is a charity whose mission is simple: "To impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes."

Earth Day
Earth Day, celebrated on April 22 each year, is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. Wisteria Landscapers is committed to supporting and practicing environmental responsibility in both our office and production operations, as well as our clients’ projects. This year we were pleased to participate in the Earth Day Exposition hosted at the US Commerce Department in Washington, DC, where we provided literature and answered questions on how “green” landscaping practices, or “Greenscaping” can save time, energy, water and money while improving the health of our soils, air, drinking water and rivers.

Capital Pride
Capital Pride is the annual GLBT Pride Celebration in Washington, DC. With a history of 35 years, it is an event attended by over 250,000 people each year from all over the nation who come together to celebrate who they are as members of one human race. Wisteria Landscapers adheres to the belief that the same human rights, civil rights and opportunities must be available without discrimination to all citizens of our country. In support of Capital Pride 2010, we will be participating at the street festival on Pennsylvania Avenue. Come visit our booth on Sunday, June 13th.
